2014 Lost Eden Christmas Hunt

Lost Eden ran a well received Christmas Hunt last year (2013) and we are running a Christmas Hunt this year.

The Hunt will begin on the 1st December 2014, and continue until the 24th December 2014.

Last year we used a Candy Cane as the item you had to find, this year we will be using a Christmas stocking.

The hunt will be open to anyone in Second-Life who can access an Adult rated sim, with the exception of child avatars.

The hunt will start at the Lost Eden Landing point where you can pick-up the "clues note-card". The Christmas Stockings will be hidden all across the sim and public access areas and I will lead you on a merry chase.

Why Can't I Behave How I Want on Adult Sims

What Linden Lab don't tell you and they don't tell you a lot, is that when a person buys a sim off them, and pays a monthly tier of $300 US dollars, that gives the sim owners lots of rights on how they elect to manage their sim, and Linden Lab will not interfere.

 

So while a region maybe listed as adult, the sim owner can demand and expect levels of behaviour that may seem unfair or restrictive given the Lab Maturity ratings.

Being Adult and Swearing

Recently, Senior Management at Lost Eden, sent out the following note card through their rather large group. It goes like this:

 

"Good Day Edenites:

 

We seem to be having an age old problem with bad language, and crude chat and innuendo in the Landing Dock Area, and I feel I need to explain why we don't allow it.

 

As new visitors land in Lost Eden, the last thing anyone wants to walk into is loud rude and foul mouthed language. It can be very intimidating for some and offending to others. Its where the first impressions are made of our sim, and its not how we wish to be seen.
